Main: Railway lamb curry

Excellent food, nicest meal I have had in a while but the price was a bit steep for my liking! This is somewhere I would revisit on a special occasion.

comment Poppadoms were crispy and the selection of chutneys were great.

Starter of haggis samosa wasn't as expected and I couldn't taste the haggis but was still enjoyable. More like a normal samosa but with crunchier pastry than filo.

Main course of murgh tikka saagwalla was a bit mild but the chicken was perfect and was still very tasty.

comment Great poppadums and dips. Haggis samosa starter was a marked improvement on last year and was delicious. Had Lamb Patia for main which was slightly spicier than expected but still very tasty. Peshwari nan and saag aloo were excellent.

Service was poor however, there were thirty of us so understandably we posed a challenge but I repeatedly had to ask for my main meal which they got wrong, and was waiting to be served after everyone else. I also found that those drinking alcohol were better attended to drinks-wise than those without.

Overall however an enjoyable evening with excellent food.
