comment Popadoms were fresh, Pickles were good and plentiful.

Starter:Veg Haggis Fritter
Main:Lamb Pathia
Sides:Mushroom Rice, Peshwari Nan

All good. The Pathia could have used a little more sour, but seemed to be the right level of Spicy.
Hotter than some other folks dishes that claimed to be spicier.

At £22, Value was especially good.

comment The poppadums were nice and crispy. For the dips there was an excellent lime pickle, a fiery chutney with peppercorns (I liked it), good spiced onions and a mint yoghurt that was a bit too sweet.

Starter of Seekh Kebab. Very tasty but needed the spicy sauce that came with it!

Main course of South Indian Chicken. The chicken was nicely cooked as it was tender and succulent. However this dish was advertised as spicy in the menu but sadly it was quite bland. There seemed to be too much yoghurt added and it looked as creamy as a korma. It was more like chicken in gravy than the curry I was expecting. I also had some of Barry's lamb dish that was also lacking in spice.
I have to say though that I did enjoy the lemon and mushroom rice that were both very good!

Two side dishes: An Aubergine one (Bhagara Baigan) and Bombay Potato. The Aubergine was very well cooked although there was no spice in the sauce whereas the Bombay Potato had a very spicy sauce but the potatoes were undercooked(still a bit hard)!

On the plus side, the service was very good, the interior was fresh and modern and it wasn't too expensive.

comment Popadoms crisp. Not sure about the crushed peppercorns in the chutney!

Prawn poori was a big helping with a very tasty sauce. Prawns slightly over cooked?

Went for chicken satuki. A bit salty and not that flavoursome.

Nice atmosphere, good service.

comment Chutney tray was very tasty.

Vegetable pakora was lovely.

The main dish of lamb malabar was advertised as spicy, spicy it was not.
