comment The poppadum that I had was not very crispy. Whilst I did not like the mango chutney concoction, I thought the spiced onions and mint dip were pretty good. Felt it was 2.5/5 but gave an extra half mark for the complimentary deep fried lentil finger that was rather nice!

Starter of Awadhi Chicken Tikka that was nicely spiced. On the whole the chicken was cooked well and was still tender and juicy apart from one piece that had gone a bit dry. Good effort with the side salad, that was tasty too!

Main of laal mass (slow cooked lamb with hot spices). Not as hot as the 3 chilli indication on the menu would lead you to believe but it did leave a nice warm tingle in the mouth. Lamb was tender and the dish was tasty but not outstanding. I liked the Garlic Naan too as it just to my taste on level of crispiness.

Sides of Dal Panchnil and Sabzi masala. The Dal was thin and a bit watery but quite tasty. The other was not really my thing but was hot and spicy.

A few mistakes were made with the service but on the whole was reasonably decent.
Finally there was a nice relaxed atmosphere in the Spice Lounge I felt.

comment poppadums a little soft. Mango chutney tasted odd? No Lime pickle.
Vegetable Samosa starters were very good.
Main course Lamb dish, (so memorable I can't remember the name), was labelled with three chillis. Feeling like something hot, I requested the dish a little spicier than normal.
But I was disappointed as the dish was very mild.
Don't get me wrong, the dish was very pleasant and the lamb very tender, just not what I was looking for on the night.
Nothing special about the side dishes we ordered, but adequate.
Some mistakes in the ordering, but otherwise pretty efficient service. The resurant is pleasant and has a nice ambiance with the background music staying in the background.
On the plus side, drinks were priced reasonably at around the price you would normally pay in a pub, rather than the normally inflated restaurant prices.
I probably need to go again to try another dish.

comment My poppadum that I had was not very crispy. Hence low score for the pre-starter. However a mark for the complimentary deep fried lentil finger that was rather nice.

Spiced onions and mint dip were good.

Mince kebabs for starters were pleasant.

Laal mass (lamb with hot spices). Not as hot as the 3 chilli indication on the menu but it did leave a nice warm tingle in the mouth.

A starter was forgotten (then rectified) however the service on the whole was reasonably decent.

comment Popadoms not crisp - not a good start but made up for a bit by the free deep fried lentles which were excellent.

Lamb Chops for starter were as good as I have had anywhere

Chicken Shakuts Goa was excellent and perhaps a bit more spicy than I would have expected. This is the opposite of some other attendees however
