comment Those funny wee crunchy things with the curry sauce, spicy carrots and purple pickled onions went down a treat again.

The pot roast quail had a lovely gentle spice and was very tender.

The Goan fish curry was lovely, but I'm sure it was just the same curry sauce poured over the rice that was with the pre-starters .

Service excellent - attentive without making too much of a fuss.

Price a bit higher than last time as we had desert and coffee too :-)

comment Pre-starter nibbles very good indeed.

Haggis pakora to die for!

Main course very tasty - nice that it included rice & extra stuff like mushrooms. Would be better (IMHO) if chicken was all white meat, but still very tasty.

I really like the new premisis. Service very good too - love the black kilts!

Woo hoo - free wine! ... and free pudding!!!

comment Pre-starters very tasty.

Starter - interesting combination of tastes and textures. Subtle spices.

Mains - not a very large selection, but good quality.

Sides were great tasting.

Prompt in serving. Lovely, piping hot food. A bit pricey, but worth it.

comment Pre-starters different and original. Bread things a bit heavy; onions very good.

Haggis samosa starter was bloody delicious; a delight!

Beef Vindaloo: meat was very tender and juicy! A good bowl full. Scored 4.5 because a 5 just never happens!

Good night was had.

comment Pre-starters different and tasty.

Spicy fish cake starter with good contrasting sweet sauce.

Fish main - done to a turn, piquant sauce.

Sides tasty, but dal was a little too fluid.

Atmosphere was classy and the service attentative - very good.

Overall - flavoursome.

comment No popadums, but small crunchy things with curry sauce, spicy carrot and spicy onion dippy things. Tasty, but not enough - more like a canape.

Haggis pakora nice.

Beef Vindaloo very tender and tasty. More of a traditional style, so only slighty spicy and a nice sour kick to it. Not convinced about serving it in a big posh soup bowl though - no room for rice or sides. Pea & mushroom and dal sides just average.

After they asked about our voting slips, a complimentary bottle of wine appeared. They let us sample a new desert too. Good banter with the owners.

comment This restuarant made a very good first impression as it laid on excellent pre-starters of little mini breads and very tasty dipping sauce with lovely carrot and red onions. A superb alternative to popadums!

The haggis pakora was FANTASTIC!

I had a bit of a change for my main course, which was a Goan fish curry. Not hugely spicy, but very tasty.

Also, really good service with complimentary bottle of wine and great atmosphere.

Top notch rastaurtant! Most enjoyable. It was also very good to get a complimentary desert. It it was meant to encourage us to come back, well I think it probably worked.

Too posh for Tilley?
